How do you defeat the sand dragon on the conan video game?

I am up to the third mini battle with him. First, you slay him in the tunnel , then you stab his tongue and he flings you up in the air. then you go into a building and you have to fight a few pirates. then he busts through some stained glass windows and i have no idea what to do. all i have done is run around on what is left of the floor and get angry because he is out of my reach and keeps sticking his neck in and biting me.
